The Malossi BIG DEPS Ø 47 aluminum cylinder kit is finally available on the market. This cylinder is specifically designed for CIAO/SI models and offers numerous advantages.
Its main feature is the split exhaust and symmetrical transfers, which guarantee greater strength and the possibility of easily replacing the exhaust connection in case of breakage. Furthermore, it is possible to increase the exhaust output to further improve engine performance. These results are made possible thanks to the small decompression valve provided in the kit.
The cylinder head has a central hemispherical combustion chamber. The Malossi BIG DEPS aluminum cylinder kit offers a perfect balance between performance and component durability. The cylinder is made of a high-strength aluminum alloy and the barrel is coated with nickel-chrome. The internal transfer ports have been completely redesigned to maximize engine power.
The cylinder kit is available with a piston with a Ø 10 or Ø 12 wrist pin, depending on the user's needs. The gaskets are made of annealed copper, which allows for better heat transmission and more accurate temperature control. The connection to the exhaust is guaranteed by a flange-mounted connection, which solves the problem of loosening due to vibrations.
The flange is made of burnished steel and features two spring housing ears for connecting artisanal exhausts. Each kit comes with two different adapters for mounting original or sportier exhausts. The Malossi BIG DEPS cylinder kit has been designed and manufactured with extreme precision and offers optimal performance thanks to its distribution with 6 transfers and machining on CNC machines.
The materials used are of high quality and dimensional controls are rigorous. Furthermore, the cylinder kit is equipped with two exhaust connections, one larger in size for unrestricted exhaust flow.
