The Malossi BIG DEPS Ø 47 aluminum cylinder is a high-quality product designed to offer exceptional performance and durability over time. This cylinder is compatible with Piaggio Bravo, Boss, Ciao, Ciao PX, Grillo, and SI models with a 50cc engine.
One of the unique features of this cylinder is the split exhaust and symmetrical transfers, which offer numerous advantages. The threaded exhaust connection ensures extreme strength and the possibility of replacement in case of breakage. Additionally, it is possible to increase the exhaust output for even better performance.
The kit also includes a decompression valve that is smaller in size compared to the original Piaggio valve. The cylinder head has a central hemispherical combustion chamber, which contributes to overall performance improvement.
The Malossi BIG DEPS aluminum cylinder kits represent the perfect balance between performance and component durability. They have been designed and manufactured with great attention to thermodynamics and internal fluid dynamics, thanks to the experience gained in the preparation of competition engines. This has allowed for a reduction in specific consumption and exhaust emissions.
Technical features include a split exhaust, symmetrical transfers, a head with a central hemispherical combustion chamber, and a decompression valve of reduced size. The cylinders are obtained through gravity casting in specific steel shells and made with a primary alloy of high-silicon, heat-treated and stabilized aluminum. Processing on CNC machines ensures high precision.
The cylinder barrel has a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel matrix and a cross-grinding with diamond passages, with very tight tolerances. The heat exchange surfaces have been recalculated, and the exhaust and transfer ports have been designed to achieve maximum thermodynamic efficiency. The rings are made of high-strength spheroidal graphite cast iron with a hard chrome anti-wear coating on the contact surface, ground and lapped.
Every detail has been carefully taken care of, including dimensional shape and roughness controls and 100% hydraulic seal checks. The cylinder is equipped with 2 exhaust connections, one larger Ø 27 and one standard Ø 22.
