Malossi aluminum cylinder D 67 LC 4-stroke

The Malossi Ø 67 cylinder is a high-quality product designed for 4-stroke mopeds. Made of aluminum and liquid-cooled, this cylinder offers excellent performance. With a bore of Ø 67 mm and a stroke of 47.2 mm, it has a displacement of 166.4 cc and a compression ratio of 1:11.4.

The cylinder is made with a primary alloy of silicon-hardened aluminum, with a silicon carbide-coated barrel in a galvanic nickel matrix. Its processing is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, ensuring a very tight tolerance. The couplings between the cylinder and piston are selected with a precision of 0.05 mm.

The piston is super compact and composed of three segments. Made with a special primary alloy of low thermal expansion silicon aluminum, it has a tin coating on the sliding walls. The piston is also machined on CNC machines, lightened and reinforced. The heat exchange surfaces are increased to ensure better heat dissipation.

Finally, the cylinder rings are of high quality. The compression ring is made of special nitrided steel, ensuring high sliding and high mechanical strength. The first oil scraper is made of chromed S10 spheroidal cast iron, while the second oil scraper is made up of three pieces of chromed alloy steel.
