The cylinder is made of a special alloy of aluminum with a high percentage of silicon and titanium, which guarantees high resistance to deformation at high temperatures. Thanks to a special heat treatment, the material maintains its mechanical and dimensional characteristics constant up to temperatures of 250°C.
The machining operations are carried out with very tight dimensional and shape tolerances, guaranteeing high precision. The internal surface of the cylinder is coated with silicon carbides on a nickel matrix, which gives the product a very high hardness and remarkable wear resistance.
The internal machining of the cylinder is carried out with special machines, which allow obtaining a very high finish on the sliding walls. The exhaust and transfer diagrams have been specially designed and made for competition, guaranteeing optimal performance.
The piston is made of a special alloy with a very high percentage of silicon, which guarantees high resistance to high temperatures. The external tin coating reduces friction. The structure of the piston is reinforced to withstand the stresses imposed by competition, but at the same time, it is lightweight to reduce inertia forces.
The piston ring is made of spheroidal cast iron with a hard chrome coating on the outer surface. The segments are made of spheroidal cast iron with high mechanical resistance, with a hard chrome anti-wear coating.
The head of the thermal unit is made of a special alloy of aluminum with a high coefficient of heat exchange. The heat exchange surfaces have been recalculated and increased, while the combustion chamber has been completely redesigned for a high compression ratio and optimal turbulence.
The head machining is carried out on numerical control machines.
