Malossi I-TECH cast iron cylinder D 47 70cc piston pin 12

The complete Malossi I-TECH Ø 47 aluminum cylinder, with a Ø 12 piston pin, represents a new challenge in the field of two-stroke injection engines. Thanks to the INJECTION TECH product line, Malossi has responded to the needs of the racing world, offering a high-quality 70cc scooter cylinder.

The cast iron cylinder is made with special self-lubricating and anti-wear alloys, obtained through gravity casting with Shell Moulding forming process. The machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, ensuring recalculated heat exchange surfaces and exhaust and transfer ports designed for maximum thermodynamic efficiency. Dimensional shape and roughness controls are accurate, as well as the piston-cylinder coupling and hydraulic seals.

The aluminum cylinder, obtained through gravity casting in specific steel shells, is made with a primary alloy of bonified and stabilized high silicon content aluminum. Also in this case, the machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, guaranteeing a barrel with a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel matrix and cross-grinding with diamond passes with very tight tolerances. Here too, the heat exchange surfaces, exhaust and transfer ports are designed for maximum thermodynamic efficiency, with accurate dimensional shape and roughness controls. The piston-cylinder coupling and hydraulic seals are 100% controlled.

The piston is made with a special high-silicon content aluminum alloy with low thermal expansion, machined on CNC machines, lightened and reinforced, with increased heat exchange surfaces.

The rings are made of high-strength spheroidal cast iron, with a hard chrome wear-resistant coating on the contact surface, ground and lapped.

The head is made of a special die-cast aluminum alloy, with recalculated and increased heat exchange surface geometry for air-cooled models, and recalculated and resized cooling circuit sections and paths for liquid-cooled models. The machining is carried out on super-precise CNC machines with diamond tools, and the head is treated with an antioxidant surface treatment.

For the correct functioning of the kit, it is necessary to use the supplied control unit and replace the primary gears with Malossi HTQ gears, while keeping the original or specific Malossi exhaust.
