The Malossi Ø 36 aluminum cylinder kit, with liquid cooling, is an innovative product that combines Malossi's experience with the most advanced technology. This two-stroke injection engine has been designed for competitions and represents a long-awaited response in the world of 70cc scooters racing.
The cast iron cylinder is made with special self-lubricating and anti-wear alloys, obtained through gravity casting with Shell Moulding forming process. The machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, guaranteeing recalculated heat exchange surfaces and exhaust and transfer ports designed for maximum thermodynamic efficiency. Dimensional shape and roughness checks are performed, as well as 100% hydraulic seal checks.
The aluminum cylinder is obtained through gravity casting in specific steel shells. The primary high-silicon aluminum alloy is tempered and stabilized. Again, the machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, with silicon carbide overlay on the barrel and cross-grinding with diamond passes. Recalculated heat exchange surfaces and exhaust and transfer ports designed for maximum thermodynamic efficiency are also present here. Dimensional shape and roughness checks are performed, as well as 100% hydraulic seal checks.
The piston is made with a special high-silicon aluminum alloy with low thermal expansion. The machining is carried out on CNC machines, with lightening and reinforcement. The heat exchange surfaces are also increased.
The rings are made of high-strength spheroidal graphite cast iron, with hard chrome overlay on the contact surface, rectified and lapped.
The cylinder head is made with a special die-cast aluminum alloy. The geometry of the heat exchange surfaces has been recalculated and increased for air-cooled models, while the sections and paths of the cooling circuits have been recalculated and resized for liquid-cooled models. The machining is carried out on super precise CNC machines with diamond tools, and an antioxidant surface treatment is applied.
For the correct functioning of the kit, it is necessary to use the supplied ECU and replace the primary gears with Malossi HTQ gears, while keeping the original exhaust or using a specific Malossi one.
