The Malossi HTQ secondary gears are a high-quality product designed to improve the performance of your transmission. With Z 14/47 teeth and a forced fitting Ø 17, these gears offer a recalculated ratio for increased efficiency.
Made of special straight-tooth steel, these gears completely eliminate axial thrust, reducing stress on the bearings. Thanks to their precision manufacturing, they are cemented, hardened, and ground to ensure long-lasting and silent operation.
It is important to note that starting from 1998, Piaggio made changes to the fitting of secondary transmission gears in scooters, with respective diameters of Ø 18 and Ø 17.67. Since precise information on the start dates of mass production of the new gears and the numbers of engines involved is not available, it is necessary to visually check the gears after disassembly.
To simplify the process of replacing ratios on these scooters, we have compiled a table listing the first and second series of gears.
