Malossi rear shock absorber 290 mm center distance

The Malossi TWINS rear shock absorber is a high-quality technical component, ideal for road use. With a distance between centers of 290 mm, this oil-filled shock absorber offers excellent performance.

Its 12 mm shock absorber rod is made of hardened C43 steel, ensuring strength and durability. The piston, made of steel and sintered bronze, ensures a perfect seal and smooth operation.

A new lamellar system made of Swedish steel has been implemented to further improve performance. The piston guide shoe, of the LUBRIFLON-PTFE B70 type, has been specially designed to ensure optimal smoothness.

The sliding is carried out on a GUIDE DU bushing, a compound obtained by sintering a layer of spheroidal bronze on a properly pressed mild steel strip and subsequently impregnated and coated with a mixture of PTFE+FB. This system ensures high durability and reduced friction.

The scraper ring made of SEALTHANE polyester resin grade 9345 guarantees a perfect seal and effective protection against the entry of dust and dirt.

The preload adjustment of the spring is done through a ring with 4 positions, allowing to adapt the shock absorber to one's needs and driving preferences.

Finally, the special low-viscosity oil used in this shock absorber is practically insensitive to temperature variations, ensuring consistent performance in any weather condition.
