The Malossi intake manifold Ø 19x20 is designed for PHBG 15 - 17 - 19 carburetors. This intake manifold serves as an access corridor for the air-fuel mixture into the engine through the reed valve. Its design is aimed at maximizing engine performance, taking into account various factors such as volumetric, thermodynamic, and mechanical efficiency.

Volumetric efficiency is the ratio between the amount of mixture entering the combustion chamber and the engine displacement. The intake manifold plays a fundamental role in volumetric efficiency, as it must allow the passage of the mixture with minimal loss. To avoid losses, the manifold is designed without abrupt changes in section or sharp edges along the mixture path.

In addition, the intake manifold acts as a reservoir for the fresh charge. When the reed valve closes, the mixture accumulates in the manifold, compressing against the reeds.
