The MHR Team complete ground cable Ø 5x300 mm for internal rotor ignition by Malossi is a high-quality product that offers numerous advantages. This GND (ground) cable is designed for internal rotor capacitive ignition and ensures maximum system reliability.
One of the main features of this cable is its ability to stabilize system performance. Thanks to the reduction of contact resistances, there is an increase in the efficiency of second-generation CDI ignition.
The GND connection wiring for the Malossi CDI system consists of two main elements: the connection between the engine and the frame, and the connection between the negative of the coil and the frame. To ensure maximum quality, the connection between the engine and the frame is made with 7 twisted AWG 20 teflon FEP cables covered with a protective sheath.
The twisting of the cables offers excellent flexibility of the product, while maintaining an adequate section of the electrical conductor. The protective sheath protects the cables from oils, hydrocarbons, and mechanical abrasions. Furthermore, the use of seven parallel conductors allows for an adequate copper section, reducing overall resistance and ensuring the ability to withstand high current pulses present in a capacitive discharge system.
The terminal connectors used for cable termination have a 6 mm fixing hole diameter and are made of tinned electrolytic copper. This ensures a reduction in contact resistance and increased mechanical robustness.
Finally, the connection between the coil and the frame uses a Tyco positive lock connector. This connector is equipped with an elastic retention system that prevents accidental disconnections and ensures optimal contact over time, ensuring maximum system reliability.
