The Malossi RHQ MHR crankshaft is a high-quality component. This crankshaft is equipped with a 12 mm diameter piston pin, an 85 mm connecting rod, and a 39.3 mm stroke. The crankshaft is considered the heart of the internal combustion engine, and all engine performance depends on it.
Malossi exclusively produces first-class crankshafts, using high-quality materials such as 18 Ni Cr Mo5 for the half-shafts. The half-shafts and rotating masses are monolithic and forged, ensuring greater strength. The processing is carried out on highly precise machine tools, and all components undergo five heat treatments. The surface finish is of high quality to improve reliability.
In addition, the crankshaft is dynamically balanced up to 16,000 rpm. The connecting rod is forged in 18 Ni Cr Mo5 copper-plated and coupled to the crankshaft with a precision roller bearing to ensure high speeds.
