This Malossi WING CLUTCH BELL MHR finned clutch bell is specifically designed for Piaggio engines. This clutch bell is entirely made in the Calderara di Reno factories using exclusive technical solutions. It is made from a single piece of alloyed steel, heat-treated without welding, ensuring a product of the highest quality.
The production process of Malossi clutch bells begins with the creation of 3D designs by the technical office, which are then transformed into solids and used by state-of-the-art CNC machines. The bells come out of the machines already finished, complete with all the processing, ready for heat treatment and surface treatment that make them resistant to wear and corrosion.
The clutch bell is forged without welding in bonified and nitrided 39NiCrMo5 steel with antioxidant surfaces. It is equipped with an anti-explosion reinforcement crown, finned to dissipate heat and protect the friction material. This bell has been tested at over 20,000 RPM.
The contact surface of the clutch bell is equipped with sized discharge holes arranged to achieve permanent grinding of the friction material. The original architecture of the bell features openings designed to create a dynamic ventilation effect, allowing intervention within the system to vary the clutch setting.
The Malossi clutch bell has an extremely high finish and very tight tolerances. It is a Made in Italy product, made with the utmost attention to quality and the fight against counterfeiting. Malossi personally takes care of production, researches the most suitable materials, and follows step by step the birth of products bearing its brand.
