This kit is designed to be interchangeable with the original transmission, but offers superior performance and durability thanks to the use of high-quality materials and strategic reinforcements.
The fixed pulley, called the Fixed Pulley, has a 15° angle and a diameter of 102 mm. It is made of gas-nitrided hardened steel to ensure excellent durability. It features a positive double D mounting on the hub and is secured with an M24 zinc-plated nut.
The Torque Driver consists of a 15° pulley with a diameter of 102 mm, TIG welded to a specially designed hub with a pressed EKU bushing. The EKU bushing is made of a self-lubricating dry material that ensures excellent sliding and minimal wear. This component can also be adapted to the original Piaggio system.
The variator contrast springs are made of high-carbon silicon alloy steel and heat treated. They are dynamically balanced, oven painted, and designed and calculated for each specific application.
The Fly Clutch is composed of three new clutch masses that use the Fly Malossi system. These masses are designed with a specific mass and are paired with Malossi springs to operate at the optimal predefined RPM engagement point. Once assembled to the hub assembly, the masses are secured in place with a reinforced ring that provides rigidity to the entire assembly.
The assembled fixed hub is the main structural component of the clutch. It consists of a mass carrier for the clutch masses, a chrome-plated hub in which the movable pulley operates, and a clutch bell that allows the starter pedal to engage and lock. This assembly is TIG welded with very tight tolerances to ensure perfect alignment. The mass articulation pins have been increased in diameter to 6.5 mm and specifically designed to be riveted and maintain alignment. A primary gear shaft rotates internally within the assembly, supported by two 13x19x12 needle bearings, providing increased rigidity. Two oil seals ensure a sealed environment for Malossi lubrication.
